Джеймс Монмут: Папильоны Папильон – потомок континентального спаниеля. Эта порода возникла в 14 веке. Родиной папильнов считается Франция, отсюда и название – «папильон», что в переводе с французского - «бабочка». Отличительная особенность породы – красивые, похожие на крылья бабочки уши. История породы тесно связана с историей Франции. Король Генрих Третий был большим почитателем этой маленькой собачки. Его любимую «бабочку» звали Лилин. Она сопровождала его повсюду. Папильонами также владели Генрих Четвертый, Людовик Тринадцатый, Людовик Четырнадцатый, Мария Антуанетта, Мадам де Помпадур. На протяжении всей эпохи Ренессанса, а затем и в эпоху Реформации, папильоны оставались любимой породой знати. отсюда
